At Cumberland Animal Clinic, we believe that vaccines are one of the most effective ways to keep your pet healthy and safe from preventable diseases. We offer pet vaccinations in Havana to help protect your dog or cat from serious and sometimes life-threatening illnesses—while also contributing to the overall health of our pet-loving community. Whether you’re bringing home a brand-new puppy or kitten or keeping your senior pet protected, our team will recommend a personalized vaccination schedule that fits your pet’s unique needs.
Vaccines are generally divided into two categories: core and lifestyle (or non-core). Core vaccines are recommended for all pets and protect against the most common, contagious, and dangerous diseases. Lifestyle vaccines are based on your pet’s environment, travel habits, exposure risks, and health history.
Puppies and kittens begin their vaccination series around 6–8 weeks of age, with boosters given every few weeks until about 16–20 weeks. Adult pets require regular boosters—often annually or every three years, depending on the vaccine and your pet’s risk factors. During your pet’s wellness exam, we’ll review their history and determine the best protocol.
We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all vaccine plans. At Cumberland Animal Hospital, we tailor your pet’s schedule to their lifestyle, breed, age, and health status—always following AAHA and AAFP guidelines. As a trusted provider of pet vaccinations in Havana, we’re also here to answer any questions you have about vaccine safety, scheduling, and reactions.
